The Tacoma Lariettes is an all-women's equestrian team specializing in fun and precision drill. Formed in 1946 our unique team performs in parades and other special events throughout Western Washington. On our website you will find a listing of upcoming exhibitions and events (like our Horsemen's Benefit Games Show. The show is set for February 24, 2008). All proceeds benefit the purchase of tack and supplies for victims of the 2007 floods. Your new or gently used clean tack donation is needed. For each item donated you will receive a raffle ticket to win a ton of hay or other great items. Raffle tickets will also be sold for $1 each.
The our team consists of approximately 25 members, all of whom keep their own horses and transportation. Weekly practices last 2-1/2 hours, and keep the team ready to "hit the trail" at any time.
The thrill of working together and performaning on horses they love is what drives this group of determined, strong-minded women to practice at home perfecting their riding skills, and hauling horse trailers through traffic and bad weather for a two-hour drill team rehearsal.
Our group enthusiastically supports each other as riders and friends.
